Fade- Color Transitions

Fade is a transition tool for Aseprite that allows you to create smooth, non-destructive color and opacity fades across multiple frames.

Forget about manually adjusting the opacity or hue of every single frame. With Fade, you can transition any layer towards a target color (or complete transparency) using advanced mathematical curves to give your animations a professional, polished feel.

 Key Features

• Advanced Easing Curves: Go beyond boring linear transitions. Choose from multiple easing functions to add character to your fades:
  • Linear: Steady and constant.
  • EaseIn / EaseOut / EaseInOut: Smooth acceleration and deceleration.
  • Bounce: Adds a playful elastic effect to the color transition.
  • Ping-pong: Perfect for looping pulses (fades out and back in).
• Target Color & Alpha: Transition towards any color. Want a "fade to black" effect? A "white flash"? Or maybe just fading out to 0% opacity? You decide the destination.
• Selection Aware: If you have an active selection, the fade will only apply to those pixels, leaving the rest of the layer intact.
• Non-Destructive Layers: The script creates new layers (named Fade_1, Fade_2, etc.) so your original work remains untouched and safe.
• Smart Frame Handling: If your animation needs more frames than you currently have, the script automatically extends the timeline for you.

 How to Use

1. Select the starting frame and the layer you want to affect.
2. Choose your Target Color (and its Alpha/Opacity).
3. Set the number of Frames and the Easing Curve.
4. Click Allons-y! to generate the transition on a new dedicated layer.

 Perfect For:

• Smooth "Fade to Black" or "Fade to White" scene transitions.
• Character death/disappearing animations (Fade to 0 Alpha).
• Dynamic lighting changes (e.g., a room turning red when an alarm sounds).
• Creating a "ghostly" or "ethereal" flickering effect using the Bounce or Ping-pong curves.
