Heos Explosions is Lua script for Aseprite 1.3.x that generates fully customizable, procedural explosion effects. Whether you need a small muzzle flash, a nuclear mushroom cloud, or a magical starburst, this tool delivers high-quality pixel art animations in seconds.

• 27 explosion types – Impact, Shrapnel, Nuke, Missile, Flame Jet, Magma, Ice, Electrical, Poison, Spore, Magical, Glitch, Plasma, Railgun, Warp, Gravity Well, and more.
• Full control – Adjust frames, FPS, particle count, radius, scatter, angle, and timing (flash / core / fade).
• Color modes – Preset (per-type), solid, bicolor, shift, or fully random.
• Pixel art mode – Perfect for retro / pixel-perfect styles, with optional blocky particles.
• Additional FX – Shockwave ring, embers, glitter sparks, debris chunks, double wave, ground scorch mark.

How to use

1. File > Scripts > Open Scripts Folder>span class="">)
2. Run Heos Explosions.lua from the Scripts menu
3. Adjust settings in the dialog
4. Click Boom! – a new layer with the full explosion animation is created
5. Export as GIF, sprite sheet, or use directly in your game

💡 Tip: Use Custom Layer to draw your own explosion shape – particles will fly outward following your pixel positions.
