LAGRANGE is a single-player narrative survival game that runs entirely in your browser. You are the only conscious crew member of a drifting ship. Each day, you open the logbook and write.

It is an open game. LAGRANGE gives you the setting, the tools, and the narrative triggers. What you do with them is up to you. The game only hands you threads. How far you pull them is your decision.

Premise

You wake from cryosleep. The chamber opens with a hiss. The air is cold. The ship is in silence. No one more. No one is coming.

There is no rescue mission and no combat. There is a ship, a logbook, and days that keep passing.

How to play

1. Create your character: Name, role, ship, mission, starting situation, one significant object.
2. Open the calendar: Today is active. Future days stay dark until they arrive.
3. Write your entry: What happened. What you felt. What you decided. No word count, no rules.
4. Use the scanner: When you do not know where to start, one narrative trigger is available per day.
5. Consult the oracle: Yes or no questions to the ship AI. It answers, sometimes clearly, sometimes through noise.
6. Save and return: Your progress stays in the browser. Come back tomorrow.

Core systems

Calendar: Entries are tied to real days. Past days stay editable only if you already wrote them.
Event scanner: One trigger per day, drawn from a pool that scales with your progress.
Ship oracle: A yes or no oracle with three response bands, each with its own voice.
Ship systems: Propulsion, life support, communications, power, hull. They degrade on their own schedule.
Physical marks: Permanent consequences. They accumulate and weigh more at higher intensity levels.
Inventory: Cargo objects with mechanical effects, personal objects with narrative weight, and a record of what you have lost.

Languages

Available in Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese. UI, prompts, oracle responses, and export formats are translated. You can switch language at any time without losing progress.

Save and export

Progress saves automatically in your browser. No account, no cloud, no tracking.

You can export your campaign as a JSON file at any time and reimport it later, on the same browser or another one.

When you finish, or whenever you want, you can download your full logbook as TXT, Markdown, HTML, or PDF.

What LAGRANGE is not

No combat. No skill trees. No branching narrative with fixed endings. No win state, no lose state in the traditional sense.

The game offers a frame. Filling it is the player's work.

Content notes

LAGRANGE deals with prolonged isolation, loneliness, mental deterioration, and implied death. There is no graphic violence. The tone is quiet and introspective.

The game is designed to be played in short daily sessions. It is not meant to be consumed in one sitting.

Compatibility

Runs in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). No installation. Works on desktop and mobile, though writing is more comfortable with a keyboard.

Once loaded, the game works offline. Save data is stored locally in your browser.

Tips

Write something every day, even one line. The calendar is built around continuity, not volume.

If you are stuck, use the scanner first and the oracle second. The scanner gives you a situation. The oracle answers a question.

Export your campaign periodically. Browser data can be cleared, and localStorage does not always survive updates.

FAQ

Q: Do I need an account? No. The game runs entirely in your browser.
Q: Can I play on mobile? Yes, but the editor is designed for a keyboard.
Q: Is there a fixed ending? No. You decide when the story ends by marking a final entry. Although your character can die, which would mean the end of the game, you can also start a new game.
Q: What if I lose my save? If you exported a JSON file, you can reimport it at any time. Without a backup, browser data cannot be recovered.
